The Augusta card reader, from ID Tech, is a secure EMV chip and magnetic stripe reader that offers merchants a simple and cost-effective upgrade path to EMV from traditional desktop magnetic stripe readers. This reader provides superior reading performance while also encrypting sensitive magnetic stripe and EMV card data. Augusta readers can be mounted to existing POS workstations, reducing costly workstation upgrades. They connect via USB.
The Augusta is available from select distributors today that is EMV-ready.
